P.1 Making a Cootie Catcher

The P.1 classes made ‘cootie catchers’ which are a fun way for the students to practice asking and answering questions in pairs. The first student says a number and the second student moves the cootie catcher the same number of times. The first student then says a colour and the second student opens up that colour on the cootie catcher and asks the question beneath.  The first student then answers the questions and they switch roles.

“What colour would you like?”   “I would like the colour blue, please.”
“How are you?”  “What do you like to eat?”
“Who is your English teacher?” “Give me a number.”
“Now open the flap and ask a question.”  Cootie catchers – An interesting way to ask a question.
